GL is Eleven Months Old!

GL is 11 months old and is cutting her first tooth! I know I say this every month, but she is just so fun! It seems unbelievable that she is going to be one next month. We love her so much!

July 8, 2017

This month she discovered that her sticker is removable, so it was almost impossible to get her photo with the sticker on her shirt. In fact, I had to wait until MC and BD got home to help distract her so I could snap a few photos.

She is such a little ham, and she loves to laugh. When we ask her for a kiss she will lean her forehead down to touch our face and then just giggle.

When BD saw this picture he said, "Well, that sums up 11 months, right there!" She loves to stick her tongue out, and she is always on the move.

One of her favorite things right now is for me to lay on the floor so she can crawl over me. She will crawl back and forth, back and forth until she is exhausted! She has also discovered that she can climb the stairs. She will climb up two or three steps before she gets stuck and needs some help.

11 Month Info

(weighed and measured @ home)

She has slept through the night a couple of times!!!! After a long week at the beach with mostly terrible sleep (turns out she was cutting a tooth AND coming down with a virus - poor baby!), once we got home she really started lengthening her stretches of sleep until one night she slept for like 10 hours. I woke up in a mild panic at around 4am, and then I wondered if maybe I got up with her like usual and just couldn't remember, hahaha! (Sleep deprivation is no joke!) But no, she had really slept all night, and it was amazing!! She did it sporadically after that for a while - every other day or two she'd have a really good night's sleep. I discovered that her afternoon nap really seems to affect her night sleep - not so much the length of the nap but more in the timing. She was sleeping much better on the nights where she slept until 3:30/4pm for her afternoon nap. Once I figured that out and was able to start being really careful and diligent with that second nap, she's gotten a little more consistent with the good, long night sleeps. I'm not ready to declare it a total victory just yet, but the long sleeps have been really nice!

She is doing great with her eating! She likes to try new foods and is eating 3 solid meals a day. She still nurses 5-6 times a day as well - when she wakes up, before and after each nap, and before she goes to bed. She is also drinking water out of a straw sippy cup.

She is wearing 12 month clothes with plenty of room to grow. She can also still wear some 9 month sizes, just depending on the cut.

Tons of babbling, with a few more realistic sounding words. She always has a lot to say! She says Dada and bye bye consistently and in context. She also says something that sounds like "doggie" for Piper.

First 4th of July, first sleep through the night
