GL Newborn Photos

Our neighbor/friend took some newborn photos of GL when she was about 7 weeks old. Here is the picture we used on her birth announcement cards.

Fun with Grandparents

We've had all 3 sets of grandparents visit us since GL was born. MC has had such fun playing with everyone.

We did lots of playing outside with G-Pop and Gracy...

Arts and crafts with Mee Mee and Paps...

And story time at the library with Brooksie and Papa.

Building a Spooky House

We found a Haunted House kit at Trader Joe's. It is basically a chocolate Halloween version of a gingerbread house.

MC was very excited to put it together.

We followed the instructions and used the icing included in the kit to assemble the house. Even after waiting the recommended 30 minutes for the icing to dry, it was still very wiggly.

But we decided to go ahead and decorate it.

Big mistake.

The cookie house had a quick meeting with my hot glue gun. And then we were all set to successfully decorate it on our second try.

Pictures! (mostly GL)

Here are some pictures of our baby girl. These pictures are from August & September 2016; GL is anywhere from a few days old up to around 6 weeks old.

Hanging out in her bouncy seat - juuust starting to open her eyes a bit.

Those cheeks!

She is fairly cold natured, so she rocked a hat to keep her warm for much of the month of August.

Sleep when the baby sleeps, right?!

This is how we swaddled her while her clavicle was healing.

One of her favorite spots to be - hanging out with Mommy in the rocking chair.

She had a tiny bit of jaundice when we first brought her home, so we tried to keep her in the sunlight quite a bit.

Her first little sister duty -- waiting at big sister's lesson.

3 weeks old...already giving me attitude!

This was the first time we propped her up in the boppy pillow on the floor.

Hello! I'm new here.

Six weeks old.

Pictures! (mostly MC)

Here are some pictures of our girl. These pics are all from August & September 2016.

Swinging on the glider on her playset.

I have a video on my phone of her on this slide when she was about 15 months old. She likes to watch that video, so when we were recently at the same playground, she made sure I took another picture of her on the same slide. She's MUCH bigger in this photo!

Dressed for preschool. She told me recently that she only wants to wear dresses to preschool. So far she has stuck to her statement and has picked out dresses every day.

She loves to help in the kitchen - even if it's just mixing up some mac & cheese from the box!

Eating a popsicle on the deck with her doll. She informed me that the doll's name was Teagan Mckenzie Raja. She does not lack for creativity!

Our good friend/neighbor is a photographer and takes all of our family photos. While she was taking this picture of GL with her camera, MC told me, "When I grow up, I'm gonna do what Ms. Melissa doos."

Organzing the toy animals at the library by size. She may not look like me, but she definitely acts like me!

One of her friends gave her this super cool bubble fan. It makes one big bubble with lots of smaller bubble inside. We've had so much fun playing with this thing! And Piper goes nuts trying to catch all the bubble.

Sunday Funday

On a recent Sunday, we took the girls for a picnic on the UNC quad.

We picked up lunch from a nearby restaurant, and after we ate, BD and MC had an impromptu soccer game while GL and I relaxed on the picnic blanket.

Tar Heel Town

We took the girls to the pep rally for UNC's home opener of the 2016 season.

We saw the team walk through on their way to the stadium, and MC got to see both Rameses and RJ. And RJ actually touched her on the arm as he walked by! It happened so quickly that she didn't have a chance to freak out about it, and later she told BD, "He was soft!"

We also got a snow cone, listened to the band play, and MC jumped in the inflatable bouncy house. A pretty fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon for this Tar Heel family!

This one doesn't yet know she's a Tar Heel, so she slept through the whole thing, but we'll have her indoctrinated soon enough.
