Here are some pictures of our girl. These pics are all from August & September 2016.
Swinging on the glider on her playset.
I have a video on my phone of her on this slide when she was about 15 months old. She likes to watch that video, so when we were recently at the same playground, she made sure I took another picture of her on the same slide. She's MUCH bigger in this photo!
Dressed for preschool. She told me recently that she only wants to wear dresses to preschool. So far she has stuck to her statement and has picked out dresses every day.
She loves to help in the kitchen - even if it's just mixing up some mac & cheese from the box!
Eating a popsicle on the deck with her doll. She informed me that the doll's name was Teagan Mckenzie Raja. She does not lack for creativity!
Our good friend/neighbor is a photographer and takes all of our family photos. While she was taking this picture of GL with her camera, MC told me, "When I grow up, I'm gonna do what Ms. Melissa doos."
Organzing the toy animals at the library by size. She may not look like me, but she definitely acts like me!
One of her friends gave her this super cool bubble fan. It makes one big bubble with lots of smaller bubble inside. We've had so much fun playing with this thing! And Piper goes nuts trying to catch all the bubble.
We took the girls to the pep rally for UNC's home opener of the 2016 season.
We saw the team walk through on their way to the stadium, and MC got to see both Rameses and RJ. And RJ actually touched her on the arm as he walked by! It happened so quickly that she didn't have a chance to freak out about it, and later she told BD, "He was soft!"
We also got a snow cone, listened to the band play, and MC jumped in the inflatable bouncy house. A pretty fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon for this Tar Heel family!
This one doesn't yet know she's a Tar Heel, so she slept through the whole thing, but we'll have her indoctrinated soon enough.
LA and BD have been Living, Loving, and Laughing in North Carolina since they emerged from the Louisiana bayous a little over 13 years ago. Which, not coincidentally, is the same amount of time they've been hitched. They are in their mid-30's and are the proud parents of MC (6/2012) and GL (8/2016). Email them at ncleeann (at) gmail (dot) com.
Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love. They depart to teach us about loss. A new dog never replaces an old dog; it merely expands the heart. If you have loved many dogs your heart is very big. ~Unknown
Kip (2001 - 2014)
"For me a house or an apartment becomes a home when you add one set of four legs, a happy tail, and that indescribable measure of love that we call a dog." ~Roger Caras
