New Upstairs Bathroom Construction - Week 2

Day 6 - County Inspection

On day 6 all three trades (framing, electrical, plumbing) underwent county inspection and passed. 

Day 7 & 8 - New Wall

After everything had passed inspection, they could start closing up the new wall and up all of the access holes.

New wall in the office - sheetrock installed and then mudded/taped/floated and then sanded to be ready for paint.



New wall in bathroom and holes for new plumbing - sheetrock installed then mudded/taped/floated and then sanded to be ready for paint.







Also, the shower walls and bathroom floor were prepped for tile.



Plumbing chase in dining room wall - sheetrock installed then mudded/taped/floated and then sanded to be ready for paint.






Day 9 & 10 - Tile

Tile on shower walls and bathroom floor was installed and grouted.


New bathroom door was also installed.


So by the end of week two we had walls, bathtub, tile, and door - we're well on our way to a finished bathroom!
