Pictures!

It has been a while since I've uploaded pictures from my phone, so here are a ton of pictures of our girl starting all the way back in November 2015. MC is 3.5 in these pics.

November

Her favorite fall activity - playing in a giant pile of leaves.

Family selfie, plus Rudolph for some reason.

Vanilla FroYo with sprinkles, as if there is any other choice.

Reading to her baby doll. One of my favorite pictures ever.

We discovered this winter that Piper girl loves the fireplace!

We went to the Christmas tree lighting in Pittsboro the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Enjoying some hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.

December

This is old news now, but it was an exciting discovery at the beginning of December!

On Dec 12 we celebrated Piper's "Gotcha Day" - we brought her home from the shelter on 12/12/14.

Enjoying her candy cane after going to see Santa at the mall. And by "going to see Santa" I mean "didn't actually go anywhere near him but still got a candy cane". And yes, that is a huge bruise and knot on her forehead.

February

She zonked out on a cold walk through the neighborhood. She slept for another 45 minutes just like this with the stroller parked in the garage.

BD worked from home, so MC had to do her "work" too.

Fun play date at the park on the giant turtle with our friend, Z.

She drew a snowman on the white board side of her art easel.

We had a day where we had a high risk for tornadoes and strong storms moving through our area. There is an episode of Daniel Tiger where they get prepared for a big storm by making a safety plan, so of course we had to make one, too. Dictated by MC: (1) Water (2) Tell thunder to stop during MC's nap. (3) Don't go outside until storm is over. (4) Snacks (5) Flashlight.

While we were under a tornado warning during that same day, we sheltered in place with episodes of Daniel Tiger on the iPad and fresh chocolate chip cookies.

Using her "big girl" knife to help prepare supper by cutting up a sweet potato. If you have a kid that likes to help in the kitchen, I highly recommend these knives. We ordered them from Amazon, and MC loves them. They are made of nylon, so they are kid safe, but they actually work to slice veggies and fruit.

For Christmas MC asked for a science kit. It was challenging to find one with age appropriate activities - most are designed for much older kids - but I finally settled on this one from Mindware. This "bubble snake" was one of the experiments included in the kit. She and BD have had a lot of fun working through all the different experiments in the kit.

March

Helping with some housework by mopping the floors. I had to go back and re-mop while she was napping to get rid of all the tiny footprints, but she was very proud of herself!

Doing a "possum hang" at gymnastics class.

We had a string of beautiful warm-ish days, so we took advantage and sat outside for lunch at a local restaurant.

Scooter Sunday on UNC campus.

Wearing her Easter bunny ear hair clips and snuggling with a new stuffed animal from her grandparents.
