Here are some more recent pictures of our girl.  These are from Aug - Sept 2015.

An afternoon painting session on a sunny day.

We went with a friend to a local plant nursery that also has some farm animals. The goats are friendly and like to eat animal crackers!

Sweet little girls.

Helping Daddy spray paint a large picture frame.

Spray painting the frame was so much fun that we continued with the Froggie Planter. He got a coat of hot pink.

She kept asking for dinosaur cookies, although I have no idea where that request came from. We have no dinosaur shaped cookie cutters, but my neighbor had a dinosaur shaped sandwich cutter, so we decided to give that a try. They looked pretty good on the cookie sheet but by the time they baked they resembled dinosaur cookies in no way, shape, or form. MC: Whoa! What kind of dinosaur is that?

Here are some recent pictures of our girl. These are from Aug - Sept 2015.

We dropped gymnastics last spring but perhaps we need to begin classes again?

Visiting the Old Well on the UNC campus.

I have a monogrammed baseball cap that I wear often, so of course MC needed one, too!

Her first golf lesson.

Sharing a milkshake with my girl.

Getting the last of the FroYo out of the cup.

Riding her trike on the sidewalk to get to the playground.

U04 Soccer

MC is playing her first season of soccer this fall. She is on the U04 team (3 & 4 year olds), so it's mostly just getting out on the field with a soccer ball and running around at this point.

She is very proud of her pink soccer ball and her uniform, but she's not too sure about those shin guards.

After her first practice she told me that she "had fun, kicked the soccer ball, and played on the playground."

Rain, Rain, and...More Rain

We have had rain here every day for the last 12 days. {I'll pause for a moment while that sinks in...}

It has been a long 12 days. The first few days were okay; I had plenty of rainy day ideas up my sleeve, so we stayed pretty well entertained. Then over this past weekend, it turned cold and windy on top of the rain, and we all started to get a little stir crazy. At one point, we all bundled up and headed out to play outside despite the terrible weather, so I grabbed my waterproof camera to capture some of the "fun".

Three sets of rain boots and a Piper paw!

A dog walking train.

Following the water as it flows down the ditch to the drain.

The water in our ditch was rushing along with a strong current, so BD showed her how to drop something in the water and then chase it along as it floated. We had been out for a while at this point, and everyone was cold. So when she started getting upset that she couldn't keep up with the acorn as it floated down the stream, we decided it was time to head in for some hot chocolate and a snack.

Luckily I remembered I had this giant floor puzzle stashed away in a closet. We spent a long time putting it together several times on Saturday while BD watched football. She worked on it another couple of times throughout the weekend.
