One Month Old!

It is hard to believe that MC is already one month old! We did a mini-photo shoot with the giant bear that lives in her nursery.

July 12, 2012

I waited for BD to get home from work before trying to take any photos, which was a mistake because she was kind of cranky since it was late in the evening. But we managed to get a few good shots!

One Month Info:

She has not been weighed or measured since her 2 week check-up, so I don't know her 1 month stats. At 2 weeks, she weighed 7lbs 12oz and was 20.5" tall.

She is still wearing newborn-sized diapers and clothes. Breastfeeding is going well; she eats about every 2-3 hours throughout the day. Sometimes during the night we get a 4 hour stretch of sleep then she's up to eat then back to sleep for another 2 hours or so. At night she sleeps either in our bed or in a bassinet beside our bed.

We have started giving her a pacifer at times when she's wanting to suck but not eat. She is not super impressed with the paci but will take it eventually and it soothes her.

She loves, loves, loves to be held so we spend a lot of time just holding her and rocking her. BD wears her in the Baby B'jorn and she likes that as well.

She is starting to track objects with her eyes, if you hold something in front of her face. She likes to stare at the ceiling fan, bright lights, and faces.

Tales of the Tail: Playmates

Well, I guess they're really more like future playmates...for now they're just lay-near-each-other-on-the-floor mates.

Kip likes to sniff at her when she's laying on the floor. He's very tolerant of her flailing arms and legs that occassionally bop him on the nose.

She stares at her toys while he naps on the corner of the blanket.

Until this happens, then he runs off to find a quieter napping spot.
