Monarchs

The cupcake decorating bug has struck again! This time I went with something a bit more difficult.

I made the butterfly wings out of dark and white (tinted orange) melting chocolates. The antennae were dark chocolate. The book provided templates for the shape of the wings and antennae.

The wings set up in the fridge in about 5 minutes, and then I put them on top of chocolate cupcakes with vanilla (tinted yellow) frosting. Chocolate frosting made the body of the butterfly.
