I have always been a high heels girl. I don't think they are uncomfortable, and I like the fact that they make my (short) legs look longer. That was great when I worked in banking - I had to be dressed up every day, so heels fit right into that lifestyle. But my current workplace is strictly casual, not to mention that I go to school two days a week -- a business suit and heels don't really work well in either environment. I have slowly been making the transition to flats and low-heeled shoes. Today it was time to add some fall shoes to my line-up.

I should also mention, in case you can't already tell, that I love shoes. Also, I am one of those obnoxious people who takes good care of my shoes, so they always look brand new. The downside to this is that I hardly ever need to throw a pair away. The old ones get "retired" to the back of my closet or the storage room, and they sit there and collect dust. About six months ago, I went through and donated a bunch - mainly dressy shoes that I no longer need. Today I decided it was time for another purge.
Remember how I said I take good care of shoes? There are three pairs in this picture that I've had since high school. They have all received the Kip seal of approval to be taken to Goodwill.
