Ready, Set, Grow!

BD and I have planted our first-ever veggie container garden. Our original plans were for a 3'x5' raised bed garden, but we decided that was a little ambitious for a first try so we scaled back a bit. Hopefully things will go well this year, and next year we can expand.

They are planted in a mixture of potting soil and organic matter in 16" containers.

We planted regular tomatoes,
cherry tomatoes,
and cucumbers.

The plants are inside our fenced in back yard, so we are not concerned about rabbits or deer disturbing anything. But we do have one curious four-legged creature that we'll have to keep an eye on.

Kip says, "Sure...go on inside and leave me out here unsupervised. Of course I won't mess with these delicious plants."
