The ponds are catch and release only and have mostly bluegill, crappie, and bass in them. There are also snakes this time of year, which is why BD had to take these pictures himself. I don't mind the bait or the fish, but I don't do snakes.

BD decided to hit the ponds in our neighborhood to see if the bluegill were biting today.
First, he rooted around in the backyard for bait.
While bait hunting, he also found a bright orange baby salamander (not used for bait).
Looks like the bluegill fell for the ol' earthworm-on-a-hook trick.
